Health First Careers is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth transition of patients from the operating room to the recovery room.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess patients' post-operative condition and provide appropriate care and interventions
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory standards

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PACU or critical care setting
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Work Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and provide appropriate care and interventions as needed
  • Assess patient's condition and vital signs, and communicate any changes to the surgical team
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
  • Provide post-operative education and support to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth transition from the operating room to the PACU
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve nursing skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in the state of Florida
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
